Green Fish Curry Recipe

A delicious coconut based curry with freshness of green coriander and mild spices
Let’s go through the ingredients for Green Masala Fish Curry Recipe
This is a coconut-based curry that has the freshness of green coriander leaves. The green colour of this fish curry comes from a generous bunch of coriander leaves that are added to make the masala paste.
Ingredients for the Fish Curry
Coconut – We prefer to use freshly grated coconut for this Green Masala Fish Curry. Coconut milk is also fine, but then add it towards the end of the cooking.
Coriander Leaves – Use half a bunch of fresh coriander leaves for this recipe. Add more coriander if you want a brighter green colour. You could also add a few mint leaves if required.
Green Chillies – No red chillies or red chilli powder is used for this fish curry recipe. Therefore, add green chillies to suit your spice level.
Ginger & Garlic – A few flakes of garlic and a small piece of ginger needs to be added to make the masala paste.
Cumin Seeds – Add about a teaspoon of cumin seeds. You could also add some coriander seeds if you want. But I generally skip coriander seeds when I add coriander leaves.
Tamarind – A lime-sized ball of tamarind may be soaked in warm water for a few minutes. Then squeeze the tamarind to extract the pulp. Use tamarind paste if you have it readily available.
